Abstract

As AI plays an increasingly important role in society, AI education and literacy have become necessary components of college and K-12 curricula. This paper presents an open-source learning module that lets college and high school students build their own robot companion from the ground up, providing hands-on experience and introductory knowledge of robotics, machine learning, software engineering, and mechanical engineering for students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds and educational goals.
